Thanks for posting. Incredibly solemn and difficult thing to watch but it’s important that people remember what happened. The filmmaker did a great job relying on peoples interviews instead of narration. Rest In Peace to the eleven souls lost four years ago and to all who have ever been taken from the world because of who they are or what they believe. May their memories be a blessing

I’m so glad you watched it; thanks for sharing your response. I agree with you about everything, and think it’s ever more important to remember this event, the worst anti-Semitic violence ever occurring in this country, especially now with the increasing bigotry we’re witnessing. I was humbled and touched also by the kindness and graciousness of the survivors. A painful watch, but well done.

We'll watch it over the weekend and be thankful that my father-in-law survived.

I watched it and despite its heavy subject matter, I still chuckled when the one older gentleman had to stop and check the Steelers score before he started his interview.

I have not yet seen the documentary but anyone interested in learning more should look into Mark Oppenheimer's book "Squirrel Hill". It describes the whole community and their response. I was nervous to read it but it was done with a lot of care.

Friends, you don’t have to watch this if you don’t feel up to it for any reason. This was a very traumatic event for the community and a lot of us personally. We all grieve and heal in our own ways and on our own timeline. Do what feels right for you.

Phenomenal documentary. I wonder what makes them a producer? Are they financially involved. All from Pgh and Cuban is Jewish.

Producers typically finance or secure financing for a production.

I believe they were all invested financially. The filmmaker made a statement of thanks and said they were all super supportive, especially Michael Keaton…so yes, I think they provided financial backing as well as other resources. I hadn’t even heard about it, but I randomly met one of the survivors the other evening and he mentioned it to me and my group of friends.

Tough to watch. I got my act 235 license in 2018 and some of my first details were in Squirrel Hill after the events of October 27th, 2018. The people were so happy to just be able to gather and worship in peace. Still to this day one of my most rewarding experiences on the job.
