I heard them as well, and although the police shooting range is close, I have never heard that before, and it sounded much closer than that.

It’s the city shooting range for pgh police on Washington Blvd FYI been there since I was a kid 40 years at least

Near Butler and Baker, by the Exxon. Apparently a police shooting range is near here, so maybe I was hearing that

The range is down by Washington Blvd. it’s heard a lot in highland park because it’s above the range. I doubt you would hear it in m-side though.

Just a heads up, you can absolutely hear the shooting range at that end of morningside. It gets more pronounced in the fall and winter when there are less/no leaves.
