Geez people have strong opinions about this. And taking a child somewhere to trick or treat is “leeching off the community” lol? That is ridiculous. It’s one fkn kid it’s not like I’m bringing a battalion of people to drain all the candy lol.

Where I live has crazy hills, very few sidewalks and not many children so my kid won’t see others, which is part of the fun. With few sidewalks it can be dangerous with cars. That’s why I asked about a better place. Just looking for suggestions so a kid can have some fun.

Reddit sucks these days.

Yes, this sub is especially salty about nearly everything. Anyway, the answer to your question is likely any denser, walkable, middle class to affluent neighborhood with lots of kids. Mt. Lebo, Brookline, Dormont, Morningside, Highland Park, Sewickley, Aspinwall, etc…

For real. The way assholes drive around here is enough for me to want kids to go to wherever is safest. It’s actually the number one cause of death or injury on Halloween. We get plenty of trick or treaters at our house but people go crazy fast on the main road and I wouldn’t blame the kids for wanting to go somewhere safer.
