I'm new to the city and live in Bloomfield on a road off of Liberty. I haven't seen anybody walking around in the neighborhood yet at 5:30pm, and I don't know if it's because it's still early, people aren't going due to the rain, my road isn't a main road, or kids just don't trick or treat the night-of in Bloomfield?

I know the Bloomfield parade was last week and a lot of trunk or treating was on saturday, is there anyone left for the actual holiday night?

5 to 5:30 is too early for a lot of people if they had work until their normal time. Has it picked up at all now that it's 6? The suburbs didn't start until 6 FWIW

Depends on your street honestly. I’m kinda off the main suburbs in west view and get maybe 6-8 kids. My friend who live 1 street up gets over a hundred.

we only got two trick or treaters tonight, right before 7. they were old enough to be out on their own and told me they felt like this year there weren't as many people out, and that normally my street is a good one (it runs between Penn Ave business district and the Friendship Parklet).

so it sounds like even if it does vary by street, this also wasn't the most robust year - maybe some people got spooked by the earlier rain, or maybe because it's a Monday?

I’m not in Bloomfield (I’m in Mt Washington) but we never get any kids 5-6. Once it hits 6:15, we get slammed.

I’m in the BFG, and I got about half as many this year as last.

Not in Bloomfield, but there were only like 25% as many kids as last year for us.
