you're allowed to hunt deer in your yard in city limits as long as you're 50 yards away from an occupied structure for bowhunting and 150 for shotgun. I've recently read a few articles on this. Here's one. https://pittsburghquarterly.com/articles/the-urban-deerhunter/

That's great and all, but the exact issue is that there aren't nearly enough houses with a 50 yard buffer all the way around to even make this feasible. Because we live in the city.
