This place is really cool, duck pin bowling, 3 bars, arcade and pinball games. Outdoor rooftop. With the new food options in the plaza, South Side works is completely transformed. Great stuff.

I can’t wait to check it out. I walked by earlier today but they weren’t open yet.
With Living in the Southside it’s so nice to see the Southside Works being brought back to life!
aughh yeah, feels good to see new things though!
For sure, really transforms the neighborhood down this way! I moved here in 2020 and it was so dead all the time, depressing.
I’ve been here since 2000 so I remember how exciting it was when it opened. I also worked in the Southside at the time so would go shopping there on my lunch break.
It was tough seeing all the shops leave but I really like the direction they are going with now.
The more local shops, restaurants and bars they can open the better.
There's a ton of us-tapped potential still too! Hoping things keep trending up, neighbor!
People who haven’t been down here since 2013 will still tell you it’s shit and dangerous
It's the best of both worlds (unless you're hanging outside the club at 2 am). Some cool local dives on a historic city street, now the new spots on a pedestrian plaza down there. Easy access to downtown and Oakland. We are killing it!
Agreed! 😀
Completely transformed cause one restaurant opened is quite a statement
There's been a number of other changes. New dog park, beer truck, and the plaza has been renovated with a BBQ, a taco, and a Pizza place as well as a large outdoor seating area. It's quite a change.
Free to get in. Pay for games.
Arcade machines take quarters?
Definitely go check it out, your hard work paid off
There's also a dog park, concert area, and more. Lots have been going on!
Pretty sure you mean on the North Shore
The one in Columbus is awesome, cant wait to check ours out!
I'm happy to hear this. We need more arcades.
Ma’am this is a Wendy’s.
That is Shorty’s. Different place, similar concept.
It's such a great social thing. People were chatting outside of the groups they arrived with!
Wait, games n’at is gone?!
Had no idea this was gonna be at thing! Good looking pinball table roster. Only thing missing is air hockey. WHERE IS THE AIR HOCKEY?
Saaaaame!
Yes, the pandemic killed it off
My dad managed the construction of that place. Glad to see these positive reviews!
I was so sad about that, but I went the last weekend of was open and the owners were kind of relieved about it it seemed like. They had a good outlook on it.
They have bubble hockey!
Comparing the Southside Works to the problem bars of the 'teens streets of E Carson is like comparing Greenfield to Hazelwood
I give them credit, they made that place last in that less than prime location since at least 2005.
Hey, they have to show they have a chip on their shoulder somehow. I bet you're a suburbanite who drives a full sized SUV and chooses Huntz ketchup!
Pretty sure you just described Paradise Island Bowling on Neville Island
There are several in Columbus, the one at Easton has a slide that you can take from the second floor down to the first, if you want.
Didn’t realize the Southside Pins was open. Thanks, OP!
just make sure you’re tipping in cash, they’re one of those places that need to be on the shady tip pool list. ass company to work for in general which is sad cause it is a cool concept.
It’s pretty great but beer is $6 min and games are $6 min
Somehow I feel like you haven’t seen that end of Carson in early 2000s. Still worlds better in 2013, even if it was in decline.
Just an update to this, the arcade games were free to play when I was there Friday. I actually asked for change and was told they were free. Unsure, if this is just an opening weekend thing or what.
I was wondering because they claim to be cashless.
Yeah, I mean maybe it's the place in the strip district that has duckpin bowling?
All three are different places

I miss games n’at. That was a fun place to go.
