They have “lost” multiple packages that I’ve sent out in the last couple of months, and I’m reaching my limit here. The parcels always get held up at the distribution center, never to be seen again. When I call the cx service number, they tell me no one even answers the phone there. They are costing me money and time. I’m livid at this point. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

The warrandale dis. 100% stole a laptop I sold a few yrs back and kept sending the empty box to and from Georgia. Tried everything to make the insurance claim and they just kept giving me the run around. 700 bucks down the drain.

Nah, we've found USPS to be pretty good. In contrast, FedEx Ground has been horrible for us.

I have frequent issues where packages sent to me have improperly covered old labels, and then they get stuck in an infinite loop because some centers read the new label and some read the old. I'm currently waiting on a package that's gone across the country 3 times. USPS was supposed to flag it for manual sorting but that didn't happen.

USPS is alright. UPS is better, but FedEx sucks hard so I'll take them any day

The whole USPS has been terrible these past few weeks. Twice now things have just randomly stopped in transit for unknown reasons.

They track to warrandale and never leave there? Do you have any tracking #'s for examples? What kind of stuff are you shipping?

Yes, they never leave Warrendale. After 30 days I just declare them missing and have to refund people. I do have tracking on everything. I sell vintage clothing, so it’s not like I can re-send a replacement.

My suggestion would be to start sending thing priority mail and getting them scanned in at the post office and getting a receipt. You will have insurance up to $100 on the packages so if they do get lost you should get a refund from USPS.

They went way above and beyond what I would have ever thought the post office would do when searching for a lost package of mine. I just filled out the online contact form I believe and they eventually got to it. Weirder things can happen but I doubt anyone is risking a job and pension for some random vintage clothing.

That hasn’t been my experience, but I’m happy that it worked out for you!

So, the Warrendale location has a lobby and window you can go to, but the hours kinda suck (10-2, monday-friday as far as I know). I cannot guarantee that you'd be successful in getting an answer, but you'd at least talk to a person. I worked holiday casual at this facility, and they take theft & interference of mail seriously, as in dudes w/cuffs seriously. The fact it's been multiples is a bit weird - like one package I'd chalk up to something like a mangled package and it's been sitting in the department where someone pieces together where the heck damaged mail is supposed to go - but more than once for one customer is pretty weird.

(Edit: words are hard & I can't remember what the damaged mail dept is called)

I appreciate it, I didn’t know they had a lobby. I agree, I seems really weird and I thought mail theft was a felony, but without proof making claims feels like I can do. Thanks!
