Dang. A salvage spud barge with a crane and a tug. A minimum 3 man crew. Who’s footing that bill?

Did you see the crane operator drop the boat on the barge? He was not pleased To be picking up trash….

I did not! Can’t seem to find a video of it anywhere either.

It was on kdka 6 am News broadcast. Good chuckle for sure but nothing to outlandish. Just the last couple feet the operator checks out and drops it on the deck of the barge. Cheers

Very anticlimactic. Couldn't they have lit off some Zambelli fireworks or something

So sad. If only we had some notice.

This whole process was way too quick!

I love cranes. They’re so useful

Yah, but don't buy one for your girlfriend for Christmas. Learned that the hard way.

That’s why you need to only date girls who are crane operators.

I’m in crane insurance (and am woman). But yes, I agree. I don’t think most women would want a crane as a gift. Maybe a forklift or a dolly though

Sorry I don't live here. What's going on with this boat?

It was the boat from the famous SNL The Lonely Island video. T-Pain brought it here for a Steelers game in the late fall of last year since he's a big fan. That's the game he sang both the National Anthem and led the Terrible Towel wave. Had it transported to Cincinnati, sailed it the rest of the way since he likes seeing this part of the country. Took him a week.

It got stuck after the engine broke and unfortunately for him it was right before a big flood, so the boat took on water and got stuck in the riverbed.

He's been trying to move it for months but then it started leaking fuel (prob from a cracked hull from river debris) so he had to get a boat salvage team, but the river has been running high for a while so this was the first time he could salvage the boat in weeks.

Sad story.

wow, I knew T-Pain owned it, but I didn't realize he'd sailed it from Cincinnati- that's a commitment. Thanks for the extra information.
