No, I guess it would be farm subsidies. In the US the government gives money to farmers for farming. I'm just curious about how it affects food prices.

Good question, i don't think there is. Farmers in sweden have over the years been getting clapped by the gov and buyers.

They don't really make that much off it. For the basic foods at least.

Like milk farms, meat farms wheat etc

He's incorrect. Farmers receive subsidies here as well so that they can keep prices competitive and make a decent living.

I figured that. I live in the States, but my wife is from Canada. I remember somebody up there telling me they don't get a subsidy.
