It was literally probably the best toy play set of its time! Still have it as well!

1990's. The Technodrome didn't release until 1990.

Crap, you are right…. Could have sworn it was 89…

Hmmm, well it didn't air until late 1987 and I don't think the toys started coming out until 1988. But I swear that toy came a few years later?

It was one of the best. You are only as old as you allow your yourself to be!

I got the sewer in 89! Then the technodrome the next year, the late 80s and early 90s were some of the best Christmases I can remember, filled with TMNT 😂

The original Raphael action figure was the first toy I ever bought with my own money. I was in second grade and a cool third grader had all four on the playground. I asked how much and he told me “$3.99”.
I saved my money for weeks and when I had $3.99 I asked my mom if she could drive me to K-Mart. I grabbed Raph and we headed to the checkout.
The cashier rang him up, and announced “$4.23” after tax. All I had was $3.99. I started to cry. Thankfully my mom was nice enough to cover my shortage, however it took a few minutes for me to hear as I was so upset.

That’s an awesome story! I really miss the days of going into stores and seeing shelves stocked with toys, just isn’t what it used to be!

I wanted that thing so damn bad. Instead I got the fischer price tournament table which was cool but clearly a cheap way to placate both me and my sister
