I’m sorry that you haven’t experienced good actual food. This is sad

You may be underestimating the power of childhood comfort food. Also the singular pleasure of not cooking and cleaning up. Anyways, we should all strive to not yuck other peoples yums. Anyhoo, love you lots.

This is a really fun idea. It also requires much less cleanup!

Bro a steak takes like 10 minutes to cook and only requires a single thing to clean

Ain’t that the truth! But Chimkin nuggs take no effort and cost much less money. Plus, any poor kid that was ever stuck in a road trip knows the value of some McDonald’s. Thanksgiving is taxing enough.

I’m sorry that this has happened to you. The best steak I ever had was a filet mignon that was raised and processed on a local farm. I only put salt and pepper on it and grilled it medium. The result was like butter melting in your mouth. I’ve had other good steaks at restaurants, but it’s not a consistent thing. I notice that if I order it medium, it comes out sometimes medium well so I’ve been ordering them medium rare and they end up coming out perfectly medium. Good luck on your steak quest!

Kind of triggered youre defending mcdonalds food like this.

That's kinda sad, man. The point of the shared meal is that everyone contributes to something that everyone enjoys. Frankly, your family seems very cold.
MykirEUW t1_iy7gwio wrote
I wrote my master thesis about this kind of behavior, sadly it's a mix of personal choice, marketing and the food itself. Especially in Black households.
MykirEUW t1_iy7h1y8 wrote
Most cooks don't even know what's medium rare around here. 99%of the time I get it medium.

Bro, I make a bolognese that takes 4 hours and a smoked brisket that takes 6 hours but sometimes I just want some junk food from my childhood. It's sad you're grasping at the pettiest of superiority on the internet; it's obviously not beyond this family's ability to cook so OP's choice is obviously purposeful.

What you think everything at mc donalds is something no one can like. If this were the case they would be bankrupt by now.
Clearly they have to sell something to someone or they couldn't be open.
You're the ignorant one.
If McDonald's was universally hated it wouldnt exist.
Sure I dont like it. They only thing I get is their frozen when I'm at work and on break. But I can see why some people like it.
mhardin1337 t1_iy9jknb wrote
Ignorance is the reason.
TeReaper567 t1_iy9k58t wrote
No it isn't. Some people like that type of food. I taste sweet things completely different to my mother so some things that are sweet for her are just not sweet for me. And the reverse. So to say that all Mc Donalds food is universally hated unless you ignore the bad is dumb. I dont get your point. Oh it's bad but people can ignore that because. Because what? They havent had better? Or they are poor? Wheres the logic. They havent had better sure some but I know many people who have had lots of diff6good foods but still eat McDonald's.
mhardin1337 t1_iy9le66 wrote
I understand it tastes good to some. I hope it does with all the bullshit they're putting into it.
Just say yall like poisoning yourselves because youre too fucking lazy to cook. lol
TeReaper567 t1_iy9m57j wrote
So do you grow your own food, collect rainwater, grow livestock? I mean today theres microplastics in rainwater apparently. Unless you get your own food how can you know what's in it. Sure when I cook food there might be less preservatives in it that Maccas but like the amount of food that has preservatives in it now adays is basically almost everything.
Sure you might get less but you're still gonna get this 'poison' if you cook your own food. Just less Maybe.
