Her voting Record. It's like John McCain's, in that they both talk big about "muh democracy/decorum!" but fall in line when it comes to action.

And she’s voted with Biden 73% of the time. She was one of only two Republican senators who voted with Obama more than 70% of the time across his presidency.

She’s grown increasingly moderate over the past ten years and consensus building is absolutely what we need in this country right now. She, along with Congresswoman Cheney stood up against the party line for the insurrection on Jan 6 (the events of which were a far cry from those of the Brooks Brothers Riot which you compared them to in another comment). That in itself may be a terminal decision for their political careers. It’s integrity.

You don’t have to like her politics or her voting record. But as far as the GOP goes she’s one of the last ones sticking to her guns.

The Brooks Brothers Riot actually stole an election, but it was more a Romney/McCain style steal where they could keep a mask of "decorum".

and "integrity" amounts to "I'm as cruel as Trump/Bush/Cheney but more polite about it." and no amount of "joe Biden's smile is wholesome presidential chungus!" changes that.

And as for Liz Cheney, she is not someone to worship. She wanted to keep forever wars going on, and was a fan of torture, and voted far more in line with Trump than Murkowski. They want the same things as Trump, just in a more polite package.

When we disagree on facts I don’t think there’s productive conversation to be had. My personal recollection of the Brooks Brothers Riot and that of every account of it I’ve found in the past couple minutes searching to refresh my memory indicates the only impact was that a few bureaucrats and the media was kept out of where the ballot counters were working. Unless you distrust what the ballot counters were doing, the election remained intact.

Instead of attacking individuals, maybe it’d be more productive to argue for the dismantling of the electoral college.

I was referring to the brooks brothers riot disrupting the recount in miami dade to the extent that bush was declared to win florida by 538 votes.

What did that disruption look like?

Yeah okay I see. That’s the account I’m familiar with. It admits a stretch on the comparison between what happened on January 6th 2021 and November 19th 2000. Look I’m not saying that the Brooks Brothers Riot wasn’t interference, im just saying (like Business Insider) that its effect wasn’t impactful. That’s all.
