How abandoned Can it be if people are building palm frond umbrellas

If a thing is never actually occupied, can it be abandoned? I assume that palm-leave sun shelter grew there.

How does an island become abandoned, did someone put it there and then leave it

Haha It's a tiny island in the Grenadines. After I put the photo up I realized that it just looked like I'm standing on a shoreline. But the entire island is only about maybe 200 ft in diameter. Maybe 300 ft. It's tiny. Can only get to it by boat!

It's a tourist destination for the sailing community. I don't know who maintains that little tiki Hut.

I mean, the dolphins do. Obviously.
