That’s a 4 lane highway in Ireland. About as wide as it gets out there.

My favorite part of my Ireland trip was returning the car rental and the entire check consisted of counting the side mirrors.

We asked for their most beat up vehicle knowing the roads were narrow and unfamiliar to us, plus the change of side. We had to pull over into the brush several times and pin striped the car doing so because of the sticks, but had no other choice. Especially when a double decker tour bus comes around the corner on a road like this.

Their only concern seemed to be the mirrors all being present lol

Yeah, my first trip there at Dublin. “Here’s yet keys mate.” What about a walk around check off the car? “Naw, it’s got the mirrors “

That was my experience in Shannon’s airport. Manual trans, which I can drive, but was on the opposite side so left handed shifting plus rock fences and busses left me on a white knuckle drive to Galway. I didn’t sleep on the flight over from SF. Ireland was great, but I should have gotten a hotel, slept, then gone to Moher but it was a work trip.

We flew from Toronto to Dublin overnight and stayed up all day once we landed. I was so tired. We also did a ton of walking that day, including a walking tour of Dublin. We did it to try and be on a normal schedule while there.

I remember it being like 6am and I was at a Starbucks trying to order a coffee with some heavy cream. I was struggling with the accent and they were very confused by the order.
