Looking for recommendations. Joe’s is solid but I literally can’t think of another place with decent slices near rittenhouse that isn’t for a pricier or hungrier situation

Forgot about lazaros tbh. I love sweet sauce
Jumbo and a side of knots 🤌
Lazaro's is great but idk if id call that area Rittenhouse
Realtors certainly do
It’s like a 5 minute walk
I moved out of the city about 6 years ago. I still think about that place all the time. My god is that pizza amazing
Randazo’s is good too. Randazo’s has better sauce, Lazaro’s better crust.
Joes at 16th and Sansom
On a paper plate in a puffed paper bag!
This is the answer
1000% when I had to go into the office that was one of my main stops.
Frickin love their pizza.
Who’s-a next?
Been the same since at least the 80’s.
Joes Pizza and Abuse.

Is this place still open? Last time I walked by it looked like it was cleaned out but that was quite a few months ago. Was always my go to in the area.
The pizza nazi
Giovanni’s, Randazzos, Tetra, Dolce Carini
Paulie Gee’s for slightly more upscale and a little outside the area
Not a fan of Lazaro’s or Mix but they’re there. Rione and Alice for Roman style.
This guy pizzas
Is dolce carini still good? I haven’t been there in ages.
Was it ever “good”? Not bad for a quick slice

Fan of the individual slices at Rione, and big fan of the slices and pies at 20th Street Pizza (it’s vegan, but don’t let that deter you - the (cashew?) “cheese” is pretty tasty and the crust will knock your socks off)
20th street, not even a competition. Its the best pizza I’ve had, period— vegan or non vegan.
Dolce Carini. Mentioned once already, a real classic pizza spot with great prices and slices
Awhile back, 2014-ish I had a pie from them with and real chunky tomato sauce, totally fantastic. I ordered it multiple times and it was great every time. The other year when I move back to Philly I tried them out again and it wasn’t the same, but still a solid slice and they are close to Rittenhouse.
Their taco pizza is amazing.
Try before you deny!
Their cheesesteak pizza is awesome as well.
Lazaros or Joes
Lazaros all day. Only take cash
Not if you order online
Giovanni’s
^ correct. Way cheaper and better than Joes. The move is to order at the bar in the back. City-wide and a solid slice for under 10 bucks.

Solid go-to.
I like Rione for their Roman style pizza
Alice, 15th and Locust. Cut into the square sizes you want. And, don't miss the gelato (from Gran Caffe A'lquila).
Yes, Alice is phenomenal! You can get one slice for $3 or 4 and a couple 50 cent little Italian cookies. One of the best lunches in the city.
This was some of the most bland pizza I ever had
Got pasta from them recently that made me sick af and I don’t think I’ll ever return
I'm a fan of mix pizza but I haven't tried a lot of the other suggestions
Paulie Gee’s between pine and Lombard on 13th … so not quite Rittenhouse sq, but close enough and great slices, bar, and vibe

Giovanni’s
Don’t know about Rittenhouse area. But, if your feeling adventurous I would recommend king of pizza on Germantown Ave. U won’t be disappointed…
Is that the same King of Pizza on rte 70 in Jersey?
I’m not sure…. I’ve only known of this location.
Dolce Carini and Rione
Mix at 21st and Chestnut

OG
Randazzo's makes a great traditional slice
Pooopa Marie’s!
Alice is one of my faves
Lazaros, 18th and South

I would not call Vetri fancy stuff, I’d call it underwhelming and overpriced. You’re paying for a great marketing team.
The whole point is they don’t sell slices. Next

Dolce Carini is the shit.

Never seen them do slices. Are slices walk in only?
Pats pizza on south between broad and 15th.
Pietro's! Love that coal-fired oven pizza
Coal-fired pizza is the best form of pizza, but definitely not from Pietro's. It's embarrassingly bad.
Well, I guess we'll have to disagree on that
Truth, there are way better places to get that kind of pizza from
They sell by the slice now?
Oh, good point. I never thought about it, since we always get a whole pizza
Joes Pizza pre-2019
what is so special about 2019? went to that place twice, once in 2008 and again in like 2021 and it was exactly the same both times
