There’s a stand at Clark Park Farmers Market on Saturdays, that has multiple varieties of mushrooms.
That’s a great point. Are there any like, special shops in Kennet Square that sell good mushrooms? Like a farmers market or mom and pop shop or anything
The Asian market at 4th and Spring Garden has a wide selection of mushrooms.
I buy a powder off Amazon. It has those types.
You might try Mycopolitan Mushrooms. They grow their mushrooms here in Philly, distribute to local restaurants and some stores, and have their own CSA.
They also offer tours so you can see their facility.
I did a tour and the place is awesome
PM me. i know a local source for cordyceps, and another one for reishi and lions mane. turkey tail you can harvest yourself fairly easily. to process it into an extract is slightly harder, depending on how you want to do it. luckily, all medical compounds in turkey tail are water soluble, so just making tea with it is gonna be fine.
please be cautious buying extract powders online. even large companies....like ones featured on popular Netlflix specials about mushrooms, are not selling quality products. some of those companies are selling their powders in bulk amounts to "mushroom coffee" producers as well (i mentioned this in the chat thread many months ago when i wasnt working all the time and could still shoot the shit). a vicious circle. if you need help determining which extracts to buy online, message me, happy to help. im a bit of a mushroom nerd :)
Philly Food Works does box deliveries from local farms, I haven’t used it in awhile but I recall there being a good amount of mushroom options in the past
Second time I heard about Mushroom coffee in the last few days. How’s the taste?
I like it.
Does it have an earthy taste?
I don’t really taste it.

Locally reading terminal but if you're willing to travel Kennett Square is literally the mushroom capital
