No more white Philly accents on tv or movies. We need a break.

Whenever someone does a philly accent in film, they do a New York accent. Such bullshit!

I realize it's not a movie, but in Mare of Easttown, Kate Winslet did a good job being Delco. Evan Peters was a little forced. It shows it can be done though. Toni Colette did a decent job in Sixth Sense too.

Voyager gets a lot of shit, some of it well-deserved, but god damn, Janeway is just the best.

Mare of Easttown was the closest I've seen anyone come to it. Other than that I agree, they usually just sound like a New York accent.

Good luck to her! Especially if the goal is Northeast, Delco, or South Philly. Because even if you nail it, you still sound like you're fucking up to anyone not within driving distance.

I never hear anyone talk about Stanley Tucci in The Lovely Bones, but I thought he did a very good, subtle, not overblown Philly accent (the movie takes place in Chester County).

Tina Fey also does a good Philadelphia accent.

My coworker is a huge Better Call Saul fan. He was telling me that the other night there was someone at work who looked exactly like Nacho, except he spoke french.
Michael Mando speaks French, and is in this show. Pretty sure my coworker did indeed help Michael Mando.

Kate should go to the IGA in “Fishtown Crossing” and ask for the recordings of the in-store announcements.
The women on those recordings is like the platonic ideal of the white working class Philly accent.

I cant wait to hear how she sounds. She also voices an infamous character in the Dragon Age video game series. If you havent played them, give them a go.
