When you are overwhelmed at work what do you do? I have a seemingly endless task list and no motivation after a 4 day weekend.

for me, i like getting quick wins, so i can get some momentum. when my juices are flowing, i like focusing on one of the items that seems reasonable. I'll schedule meetings with colleagues on that items if i feel like i could use some support.

I think doing a few small tasks will boost my confidence... just have to pull the trigger.

Blocking out time and turning on DnD on the messaging apps helps me. Also using something like a pomidoro timer to keep me on task.

...or chemicals that help you focus.

I usually set up and Eisenhower box and then focus on the Urgent/Important quadrant.

There are a bunch of similar concepts, that one happens to resonate with me. Search up "time management prioritize" or something similar and you're sure to find other variations.
