Does anyone else hate the inquirers new look? It looks like a tabloid now.

Hate it
bad fonts and even worse design, which is especially disappointing for a paper that's likely going to be digital-only in 2 or 3 years.
Not a fan of it.
I think I like it.
I'm shocked they haven't gone all-digital already. I can't imagine that many people still get a print newspaper these days.
I did up until about six months ago, their Android app was hot garbage to the point of unusable. They updated it recently and stopped delivering the paper  but my Sunday-print pricing is lower than the regular digital pricing so I'm not complaining.

Tell Inga to shut the lights off when they close her office and everyone else's next year.
Unfortunately a lot of newspapers insist on the same amount of content, but in a smaller format. So games have to be fit into tighter spaces. If you contact them they might make an adjustment to give more room.
Cryptoquotes are always trouble because you have to balance space between the lines (some people do the puzzle above the line and others below it) with type size.

Newspapers are in a weird spot because they're vitally important and making money. But private equity parasites are never happy and think that you can cut your way to profitability. They want to bleed newspapers into good health.
They're obviously wrong. People are willing to pay for quality.
Good news for Philly is that the Inquirer is owned by a non-profit and is healthy. Be glad that you're not in a Gannett or McClatchy market. They're really screwing things up.
Edit: to make it more clear, newspapers have a private equity problem. Not a readership or revenue problem.

Sometimes I wonder if the suburbanization and carification of American society isn't a big part of the downfall of newspapers. If you're driving everywhere you miss those opportunities of time to read a paper or do a crossword.
I miss the horoscopes, but think it looks pretty good ovwrall
