It's now more expensive to operate a business on North Broad Street. Download to prove you didn't read the article

Who didn’t read the article? You? Because It states that some business/property owners think it’s worth the increase in costs.

The business owners on north broad are by and large supportive of this.

Love the shout-out for looser parking enforcement. Some people just don't get it; cars don't shop, people do.

Yes that is how taxes usually work. Is that supposed to be a counterpoint or something? The business owners have been asking for this for a while. There are very successful BIDs elsewhere in the city.

Make something better without spending any time or money on it.
I’ll wait.

Nah, on the contrary, there needs to be more parking enforcement. Having unregulated parking would be an absolute nightmare, the city and everyone else should not be forced to subsidize people parking wherever they want to without any sort of order.

Um, I think that's what /u/Fattom23 was saying. That the guy who is calling for that doesn't get it.

I think his comment could be interpreted either way, it's not super clear on what his stance is. For me personally, I thought he was supporting less parking enforcement
Fattom23 t1_j1f33ee wrote
Nah, I should be less ambiguous. More parking enforcement, always.

Who do you think are driving the cars? People obviously

I don't know: a bunch of people who can either take the subway or walk or just pay the meter like everyone else who wants to bring their car?

Always support BIDs but it really has to budget for maintenance of those stupid poles?
CreamiusTheDreamiest t1_j1ibe0c wrote
I guess the millions spent on those poles that are supposed to be colorful but never seem to work wasn’t effective

Excited for this, I think North Broad will benefit a lot from these improvements, especially the cleaning and greening fund they have allocated
