Should we go into the city, or are there any fun non-casino things by the airport?

Edit to add: Sorry I wasn't specific, I didn't want to limit options since I assume there won't be many.

2 adults, no kids. Been to Philly (Center City and suburbs) plenty, but I don't know the airport area at all. I will have a car and a meeting Sat night at 6pm. So looking to kill time before that. I plan to spend the night near there and then head back home the next day, but I can do some more fun before heading home, not in a rush. I don't care for casinos, so that's out. Otherwise just looking for ideas.

Though I’d recommend the city…. Fort mifflin and John Heinz are both good

You'll get better responses if you give an idea of what kind of fun you're looking for, how much time you have, and whether it's daytime or evening.

If you're looking to be outside (it's supposed to be 55 degrees on Saturday), the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge is beautiful and right near the airport.

This time of year, I'd go to the airport two hours early, especially if you don't have Global Entry. Maybe check out Chinatown or something.

Actually the area around the airport in the city is pretty high crime. There is a train into downtown (center city) Philly from each terminal. About 30 minutes. Cab rides to downtown were a fixed rate.

I don't think there is anything to do around the airport

Old city is a very quick taxi ride and there is tons of stuff to see there in a short amount of time.

Live! Casino isn’t terribly far if you’re into gambling

Philly is a pretty concentrated city and the airport is in the outskirts where the closest thing is sports bars and a casino in the stadium complex area. If you can’t get downtown there probably won’t be anything very engaging to do in the immediate “airport area.” You can get a cheesesteak or something.
