I wasn’t trying to be a jerk when I said sometimes these street cats come and go. I’ve let some in from the cold before and fed them and they were friendly and I thought I had a new pet but then they up and darted out as soon as the the door opens. He may be be back and he may have other houses that feed him as well .

Yeah I figured he might. Im a little sad if Im being honest but if other people are taking care of him then thats good enough for me.

I had a cute one follow me home from WAWA. Brought her in fed her, named her Valkyrie. We had her for about a week. One day she casually jumped off my deck and just slowly strolled away.

We saw her sitting in a tree the next summer, her owners were there and said she just comes and goes as pleases and she was welcome to stay over anytime she came around. I’ve seen her a few times since and she’ll rub on our legs and let us pet her then goes about her business.

Last I saw him he was settling down for a snooze. And maybe close to an hour later I came back to check on him and he just up and left. Mind you an ambulance or two passed by so maybe the sirens startled him?

So there was a way for him to get out? I’d check under stuff and in any possible hiding places.

No his bed is outside on my porch. My residence has two units which are connected via a large porch. He settled down on the welcome mat of the first unit. So technically he's been outside this whole time.

If he comes back, try to lure him inside with delicious treats if you can! Indoor cats live much longer because they’re so much safer. Plus it’s getting cold out there.

There is a chicken thief loose in north Philly. Not sure where in the city you are, but just FYI. I wouldn't put it past them to take cats too.

BRING BACK THE CHICKENS!! they were street chickens, not some common harlot hen you can just do what you wish with!
