Los Angeles was founded by Spanish explorers in 1542.

It produces almost all the movies, music and TV shows you consume. It has a population of 4 million, where 1 in 6 people work in a creative field.

It has a downtown, beaches and a subway. The Getty Museum. The largest port and manufacturing center in America. The sports teams have won an embarrassing amount of championships at every level: more NCAA champions, more Super Bowls, more Stanley Cups, more World Series, more NBA championships and MLS cups than Philly.

But sure, no culture.

I lived there 2 years, whatever they are passing as culture is plastic fantastic bullshit unless you're in Koreatown or a Mexican neighborhood
