Any Philly comic book fans here? My go to spot in Kensington closed and was wondering where the rest y’all shop.

yep. Theyre awesome
Between 6th and 7th on South; forget the name.
edit: Atomic City 638 South st.
Atomic city
They're closing if they haven't already shut down
This is the one I was referencing, terrible they were shutting down, when I lived around there they would just let high school kids hang out and not hassle them for reading for free or “loitering” more than any fucking Philly politicians done for the children of Philly.
Johnny Destructo's Hero Complex in Manayunk is smaller, but it's worth checking out.

Love this shop 💛
I’ve only ever walked by it, Blue Line Collectables, in South Philly.
JD is the best!
Brave New Worlds in Old City, (55 N 2nd St), is great. Really nice crew there and and a fantastic selection. The owner turned me on to BRZRKR when it came out.
Dangit I keep driving by and checking Google! Do we have a close date?
Been getting my weekly comics at FatJacks Comiccrypt at 20th and Samson for 20+ years.
They closed a couple weeks ago :(
Love Showcase Comics!
Well fuck. Thanks for the down votes, I truly thought it was open.
Atomic City on South St.
Johnny Destructo's Hero Complex on Main st is really nice.
Brave New Worlds on 2nd st.
I'll add the guy who's usually behind the register is very nice and is willing to explain things to someone like me who's getting into comics later in life
Atomic City is probably the best in the city now (7th and South).
Brave New Worlds has an outpost on 2nd Street just below Arch. Kind of small, but was featured in M. Night Shyamalan's Glass!
That's literally the spot OP is referencing as closing down lmao
Yeah I didn't know until Sunday that they closed when I was trying to find comics myself. Idk why people down voted you
This. I was in high-school when they first opened. I became really close along with my friends to Ariel and the others. I used to volunteer for them a lot for free comic book day. Fun times. Gonna miss them all and everything in between.
Sorry I don't know every store in Kensington 🤷♀️
Glad to learn that FatJacks is still in business. I had heard the owner was struggling to keep the shop going during COVID.
Atomic city, fat Jack's, brave new worlds

Granted I usually just stop in to look at toys & collectibles when I’m in the area for work but Brave New Worlds seems to have a pretty good selection of comics.
