I think they’re organized and doing their job because they make hella money. Like unbelievable amounts. And listen. It’s the only way to get cars to not be where they should not be, short of citizens deadlifting an axle and carrying them somewhere else.
It’s the bullshit that happens that we hate them for. Like my partner getting 3 tickets 3 days in a row for parking on Carpenter by the sprouts, taking it to the PPA office to refute, and them saying they couldn’t understand the sign either. Two hours of his life he will never get back.

making hella money for their overpaid executives. if only the PPA was required to spend that revenue in the right places. they can't even pony up for public schools (which they were mandated to do).

The good news is the PPA is now out of GOP hands. Unclear if it means it could go back to city control, but certainly moving in the right direction.

whoa, I didn't know that. hopefully we actually see this money come back to the city, but who knows. harrisburg does bizarre shit.

This! Their process is overly bureaucratic and almost no one at the PPA office understands it or cares to take the time to listen to people until you get upset from being pushed to some other line that isn't even correct to have your situation addressed....sorry, I too had lost time from the PPA and clearly still bitter about it, lol.

overly bureaucratic is an odd way to phrase " had actual kangaroo courts until the actual courts steppe din and shut them down ".
Too often the issue is the institution, not the job. Camden county replaced their entire police department and is faring much better.
Few people say seriously - no cops ever -
many people say 'the institution of the phila police department is un-recoverable'
Same with the PPA. It's not that having reasonable parking restrictions is bad, it's that the PPA itself is a criminal organization.
