We have a rental unit attached to our own house, and submitted for renewal of business license maybe a month ago. It’s still in pending status and now we have received notification of the license expiration. We’d love to call someone over there but as expected, calling is a whirlwind of hold times and transfers. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this? I don’t want to be dinged by the city, as we will be looking for a new tenant soon.

That doesn’t sound right. Mine was approved within 24 hours. Calling won’t do any good. Go here and click on “to make an appointment use the qless platform”. You should be able to make an appointment for tomorrow.

Thank you! This is helpful. We’ve had stuff like this happen so many times. It’s so frustrating because this is our only property, it’s literally attached to our own home, and we are never late on this kind of stuff. It shouldn’t be so hard to manage!

Oh, the city is a huge pita. Hate dealing with them, but have to. Just make sure yours is zoned correctly. I assume it is since you had a lisence before and just need to renew. GL.

Are you due for Lead Inspection. Usually that's when they sit in pending status.

We had a lead inspection last year and resubmitted that report, so I don’t think so?
