Finger Lakes or VA Wine Country (I'd recommend staying in Leesburg).

Getting to the Finger Lakes in 4 hours takes a miracle, a helicopter, or sustained 90mph+ speeds

It does take more than 4 hours, but the drive is much easier than the 95 corridor so I never mind it as much. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit!

I’ve also done the Catskills in about a 4 hour drive

Catskills is 3-4 depending on where exactly you’re going

Any drive that includes the Schuykill expressway is neither easy nor fast, imo

Second the finger lakes. It’s about 4 hours depending on which part you are going to and a relatively easy drive. There’s so much to do up there that it’ll honestly be hard to decide if it‘a just a few days!

Charlottesville area has enough wineries to many visits if you want to hit all of them. Beautiful mountain drive too.

It’s such a great getaway when it gets really hot and gross in the city too. Temperatures are always 10-20 degrees cooler up there and the lakes are a perfect gate away for a week. The wine is top notch, people are friendly, and it’s gorgeous scenery wise.
