So I have a 2 credit card accounts that were charged off. The statue of limitations for my state is up in June of this year. To date, the accounts have not been sold and the creditors have stopped making any effort to collect the debt. I find it a little odd that they have no sold the account to a debt buyer. Is it normal for the creditor to just stop collection activity on the account and not sell it? One of the banks sold another account I had with them, I’m which I was able to successfully defended in court.
