Look into how immigration affects nations. When you deregulate it, your nation could crumble. Germany had a serious issue by letting anyone come through. Crime was rampant, the new year rape debacle etc etc

Germany also had quite a big problem when they were a little too selective about the makeup of their population.

NY offers these newcomers a new chance at life, though? They are coming from very poor and hopeless situations. Don't they deserve to be able to come here, just like the migrants that were sent here by bus?

Isn't it a good thing that migrants can escape their countries in very large numbers and come to New York for a better quality of life? I thought that was the whole idea around why immigration is important.
