I'd have issues walking my dog on that block, he likes to try to eat anything he can outside. Pretty sure he ate a dead mouse one night.

Yes, Flatbush Avenue near Albemarle and Tilden/Regent. Not surprised at all.

notice how the one can is practically empty and there is still garbage near it. all the garbage cans in the world isn't gonna change anything about people's behaviors. lazy people are lazy.

I don't know what else you expect in a city that hasn't figured.out a trash disposal system beyond "pile it up on the sidewalk" and thinks that removing public trash cans is the solution to litter.

That’s flatbush Ave between Albermarle and Regent. That block rarely looks like that. Either 1 of 2 things happened. The rats chewed holes into the garbage bags and they broke while the garbage man picked them up or people threw garage on top of the garbage bags.

I live in the neighborhood. Flatbush Ave and the neighborhood itself has almost always looked like this

Flatbush from Empire and south looks like this and it only gets worse as you get closer to the college or church Ave lol

My girl used to live right by the Newkirk station. It's a real bummer over there. A lot of good food and the people I interacted with were always suuuuuuper kind. I just don't understand the habit of dropping trash wherever you stand and walking away.
