Well the more likely alternative is taking the E to the 7 at JH or 6 at Lex/53

The only problem with the 7 at Jackson Heights Roosevelt is its the local only there. Which I always forget. Because it seems like it should be an express stop.

When the 7 train was built out in the 1910's, they never envisioned the IND developing their own subway line under Queens Blvd and a transfer being built there.

Any subway line, rail line, roadway, that’s built with only one express that’s meant to alternate directions is a bad idea.
I know this doesn’t really apply to your comment but it’s close enough to bring out my frustration.
