Really? Too bad! Back to the boiler room! Chop chop!

Aby Rosen's new Maybach isn't gonna pay for itself...

this is such a simplistic way of looking at things. Vast majority of people want normalcy and the good & bad that comes with it.

I mean, I think the vast majority of people would prefer not to be sick all the time. Especially in a country where they are lucky to get a handful of sick days.

People tolerated being crammed cheek-by-jowl into noisy, miserable open offices because they were told it was necessary and it couldn't be any other way. Once they saw with their own eyes this was not the case, I think they started to feel very differently about the trade-offs they were told to make.

look around...people are out and about, not wearing masks. Not because of capitalism, but because people want to be around people

People want to be around people when they are socializing. When people are at work, they want to work.

If people wanted to be wheezed on by hundreds of unmasked strangers every day, then their employers wouldn't be putting so much effort into strong-arming them back into the office.

Very Reddit opinion. Issue is much more about commuting. It’s a fringe segment that gives a shit about being around unmasked people. Not at all mainstream.

don’t listen to these people. you’re right. most people don’t wear masks (not half like this person is saying). all you need to do is walk around manhattan to see that.

sometimes i need to remind myself that only a mere fraction of people in the city have reddit. people in this sub/thread do not represent public opinion.

It's also about that, and also about contemporary offices being just plain miserable places to work.

Nah, that's completely false. At least half the people I see in public indoor spaces are wearing masks.

Half? Lol I see 20% on the train, bars are packed. Very difficult to get reservations, as it usually is this time of the year when things are normal. You see maybe 1/200 in places like this wearing a mask

Yes, me and nearly everyone else in the city? Look around, almost nobody wears masks and bars and restaurants are packed and nobody is wearing them in either
