Pretty sure the original NYT article said something about his campaign starting a smear campaign against his opponent because people started digging up Santos’ background and figured out he was lying. Enter smear campaign against Democratic opponent so Long Islanders get confused about what is real news and what is fabricated…. boom, GOP winner.

Also doesn’t help that Long Island is aggressive Republican. But like sure, blame Democrats for the GOP failing to share it’s due dili with constituents and protect people from unknowingly electing a liar.

edit: I said Staten Island instead of Long Island because it happens, and people couldn’t understand what I meant by just replacing a word on their own

This isn’t Staten Island. It’s Long Island and a part of Queens.

You do not know what you are talking about. He doesn't represent Staten Island.

My sincerest apologizing for saying the wrong word. It happens. I edited it. Try reading it again and maybe you’ll get the actual point this time.
