I passed one on 7th Avenue in the upper W 40s. Two dudes were blowing inside and the pungent stench that came out was ghastly. I can't imagine living upstairs from that.

So imagine that there's dozens of McDonald's opening up all over the city. Setting aside the dubious legality of most, that's what these pot emporiums are doing; simply popping up everywhere.

I make no apologies for living in a suburban Queens environment blocks away from any commercial enterprise. I hope that a pot shop opens under your window. See if you like it.

I hate to break it to you, but people smoke pot inside their apartments too. People do live upstairs from that and manage just fine.

And I hope a pot shop does open underneath my window.

People also have screaming arguments inside their apartments. They slam doors, too. That doesn't mean it's ok.
