Probably because it’s not the best use of police resources to have them solely standing at turnstiles waiting for people to jump them.

It’s really not about stopping fare evasion. it’s about inspiring a feeling of safety, misplaced or otherwise.

  1. Grab the fare evader that opened the Emergency Door when exiting

  2. Beat the crap out of him
