Nope, still no clue. But apparently (and fortunately) nothing major or else we would have heard about it by now in the media. Probably a transformer like someone mentioned elsewhere.

The usually Twitter feeds I look at to figure out if something is happening (the NYC Emergency Management one, and FDNY alerts) have nothing. Con Ed's twitter also doesn't have anything, so nothing major.
