Finally someone said it.
Everyone praise the Specialized High Schools and the strict parents, but no one is saying the quite part out loud, how it affects the students mental health.

I mean, as a Bronx Sci alum, I actually think the environment of that school was better for my mental health than my local zoned public school. Unless you were in the school's underground Korean fight club or being raped by our pederast debate coach, you didn't have to worry about any kind of physical harm coming to you at that school which is more than can be said for most high schools in the city.

I’m not talking about the individual school but the toll on the students mental health outside of school to meet their parents/family expectations.
