The parking is indeed less, and the narrow lanes are a joy for large vehicles. Oh I cant wait for the snow to snarl up these now tiny lanes with one stuck bus.

I have never seen that happen, do you have news stories about such an occurrence? Usually DOT will maybe shrink a lane by 1 foot at most, with the minimum at 10 foot lanes which is still plenty wide given a car is around 6.5 feet wide and standard unit trucks (SU-30) being around 8.5 feet. 1 extra foot would do nothing so I'm not sure the issue you describe has been realized but if you have some pictures that'd be great

I drive a truck, a garbage one to be exact. I dont need news articles to see and sit in the 20 to 30 extra minutes of traffic because we no longer have 2 lanes in each direction to maneuver around double parked cars and trucks. And with so little space A single driver attempting to park can lock up the only available lane for driving.
The cascade of slowdown from that single event can ruin everyone's evening/morning commute.
There is no longer space for delivery trucks to park and unload, they literally block the entire lane of traffic on these re-imagined roads.
Bronxdale ave in the bronx is an example of how to fuck up a road so 15 people a day can bike around.
