Thank you, does it evoke a memory for you ?

Every person is different and art is experienced differently by each viewer. This makes me feel a sort of lonely melancholy - but I'm a melancholy person. The looming city. The distance between the viewpoint and the people on the ice. The nostalgia of New York at the holidays. For some reason I'm reminded of the shared experiences we New Yorkers have - the shared memories. Yet there's always that distance between us. That missing personal connection. We all go our own way for most of the year, but it's at the holidays that there is almost a letting down of the guard. That slight reaching out so that we notice each other a little more and seem to want to make connections - even with strangers. Yet it's fleeting.

I told you I was melancholy.
