I just started a game too! Harlem is a bit of a schlep from Ocean Hill, but best of luck finding some peeps.

Before the pandemic people used to play every Saturday (or was it Sunday?) At the Whole Foods market next to thr WTC. Dozens of gamers, all in one place. I'm assuming it's still happening just haven't been there myself since then.

There is also a game cafe in midtown! They also serve alcoholic drinks, cheers! I would have loved to join this if I still lived down there

I live uptown near harlem in Inwood. I might not be available all the time because I'm a new father but I love playing and have been looking for a new game. If you get a few people let me know and I will be honored to join.

Which place is this? I was looking on google maps but nothing jumped out to me.
