Ah -- I'm feeling grim this morning so totally misunderstood. People have been yelling at PEP for years. And honestly, some of them deserve it. But I totally understand the impulse to punch obnoxious people in parks.

Right. I get you. It was clear that it got more and more out of hand over here and a local probably had enough. And the PEP in this case was not sticking her chest out or making a scene. Instead, it was this guy being a total nozzle and kept poking the bear.

Good for the PEP. They do put up with a lot of abuse. I talked to an Urban Park Ranger (same enforcement powers, I think). She worked in Central & Riverside Parks & said wealthy people would often try to get out of a ticket by telling her how much they donated to the park. Didn't matter to her.
