"I see we have implemented rules to limit the growth of housing development- do you have any intentions of implementing rules to control the population?, if not what do you think the result will be of the population growing significantly faster than housing development over the last 20 years? Do you expect native New Yorkers will have to leave new york? A reversion back to packed living like tenements?

In this scenario it would seem property owners gain a lot from the limiting of housing development while the population is allowed to grow freely. But that renters suffer a lot. Would you agree with that take?"

The Governor introduced and pushed bills to open up zoning for ADUs and Arline transit this session but the Senate and Assembly did not approve them. She’s an ally on these issues and everyone should ask their state legislators these questions especially if they are in suburban districts around NYC.

Id say because theres only 2 sides and they're both out of touch. And they're both out of touch because no normal person can afford the costs leading up to and during running a political campaign.

And its a particular problem that they're particularly out of touch because they do not understand the actual things that matter for the average person, the issues, what's important to them. The type of things that we can improve if we wanted to but no politician seems to care, so it makes voting feel like a waste of time.

They are so focused on being polar opposites that they forget the answer is more often than not in the middle. This can be said for the entire country.

Probably not enough to open up the cost and availability of housing.
Plus there’s the massive problem of corporate home ownership throughout the country. Get comfortable with renting the rest of your life.
