I would recommend 5% on the back since they dont check, 35% on the driver and copilot and 40% on the windshield, also depends how much the police is in need to make the quota, usually in the city as long you dont go below 35% is all good, but don't put 35% on the windshield tho get 40% at least. My last car i have it with 5% on the back and 20% on front and the windshield was 35%, got stoped once on the palisades by a state trooper, that was last year and I still need to go next month for it.

I key cars with 40% tint btw. If you’re ever wondering where a scratch came from it was probably me.

Thanks think I’m going to just do 40% all around. I have a white car with black interior I don’t want anything too dark that will draw attention.
