Have you never been to Yankee stadium ?

They're a Met fan. As am I and my first and only time going to Yankee stadium was the new one as a guest of someone who got comped tickets behind home plate. Otherwise I would still be at 0 for visits there. AL baseball always feels boring to me. For a long time it was the DH. Now it's just a carryover feeling.

Yeah but growing up in the area as a baseball fan it’s surprising to have not gone to a single game at both stadiums

Interesting. AL baseball has always been more exciting to me mostly due to having had higher runs scored on average (probably due to DH).
What’s so exciting about watching pitchers hit? DH is usually a slugger that adds depth to the lineup.
I guess it’s all opinion.

I just liked the unknown. In reality it's usually an out, but when a pitcher gets a hit is exciting. Trying to figure out if the manager will pull the pitcher cause he's dealing but the team's down 1 run in the 7th and the pitcher is batting 2nd next inning. I miss bunts being a more regular part of the game.
DeGrom's magical first half in 2021 before he got injured included his batting .400. We'll never see that again.

Shohei is a pretty great batter too.

TIL there is a difference in excitement between the AL and NL. Both put me to sleep in minutes.

The main exits of Yankee Stadium empty out either to the west or the south, where there are no bars. The few times I visited the new Yankee Stadium, the flood of people went straight to the subway, bypassing all the bars and nightlife.

Okay but there’s still a whole block of bars if you make a left
