For anyone wondering, the painting is 22"x16 (half sheet). The image is of Pretty Ricky's! I stopped in there after some ramen and thought it would make a nice painting.

For my watercolor nerds: Paper is saunders waterford 140lb rough, paints are daniel smith and winsor and newton.

I love this one.

Makes me really wish they didn't change the south street seaport bench/steps thing by pier 17 cause that setting would've made a gorgeous painting in this style.

As an abstract watercolor painter, I wish I had your ability. Damn that is great

This style is awesome, and makes me want to do another run-through of Disco Elysium. Great work!

This is so beautiful. How did you learn how to do this? This type of painting is amazing.

I can definitely answer specifics. But lots of practice, lots of drawing, and lots of plein air painting. Painting from life is probably the most helpful. I also have a degree in illustration so that definitely has helped in terms of crafting a visual narrative.

Thank you, will do! If I’m able to get anything, I’d like to let you know I’ll be adopting a snobbish Trans-Atlantic accent, referring to myself as a “Patron of the Arts,” and pretending I’m from an old money UES family. 😂

If you keep the painting low where most of the bar is cut off, it looks like the person on the left is.playing a piano.

Damn that's cool that they let you sit there and paint! How long were you there and it must he tough capturing the people talking because they are constantly moving. Wow, years of practice all right here, this is so cool. I wanna learn how to do this and paint my surroundings
