I'm not disagreeing with you but....as a Denver native...this story surprised none of us and if he did himself then in a few months a worker at a different location will donsomething to a customer that isnjust as crazy and stupid. Either way...this is the wild wild super fucking wild west.

Maybe a certain person is hoping for a multi million $ Taco Bell prize?

isn't that a standard inclusion for a taco bell order?

No, usually just the rat

To be fair, the rat could have already ingested the poison.

Hmm. Interesting story, despite funny headline.
With just the info in the article, I'm siding with the TB employees. I'm not real sure of the whole story, but either the employees called the cops at 1pm to come to the store to help deal with an irate customer or the irate customer called the cops because they wouldn't give him a burrito because the soda dispenser was not working (?).
Either way, that's one weird and petty hill to choose to die on, so to speak.

Isn't rat poison fairly ineffective against humans? It works on rats because rat's can't vomit. Humans on the other hand are very good at vomiting.

I guarantee the “victim” did it to himself. The prior dispute, the lack of franchise video evidence, the lengthy delay between bringing the food home and eating it, the prompt vomiting inconsistent with ingestion of modern rat poisons but perfectly consistent with traditional misconceptions about rat poison’s immediate effects, the “victim” refusing to cooperate with police…
Search the guy’s basement and you’ll find an open box of rat poison identical to what was found in the food.
