That sounds awesome. Any video of a marshmallow burning up in lava?

I know I should not laugh at this, but it is still funny.

Pretty sure lava will quickly turn any organic matter to steam and carbon dioxide. Any creature falling in will likely be converted in seconds. Environmental impact is miniscule. May be considered disrespectful if you believe one is throwing trash at a god.

It started more as roasting the mashmallows over the lava in order to eat them, now they are just wastefully just tossing them in for no real reason.

I say let this play out and solve itself naturally.

Have you priced a bag of virgins?

Makes me wonder if the gods/goddesses of the Islands like marshmallows or if they would prefer some other sort of sweet snack.

Perhaps it's a matter of the intention behind the offering. If you're chucking them in just for your own amusement, it is distasteful to the gods. But throwing them in with the intent of the gods enjoying this food, they would approve.

Something I've seen in a lot of stories before, where the idea behind an act is more important to the gods than the act itself.

Aren't food offerings a traditional way to show respect to gods? I mean marshmallows are a bit far from the definition of "food", but no one eating them seems bothered by this.

if they were respectful they would throw animal and human sacrifices at lava!
