Note: you can be legally blind and still have some vision. I knew a dude who is blind and can still snow ski with some assistance. Not sure about the biking thing though.

Oh boy, try telling that here. Here bikes are the preferred way of transportation to get home from a bar. Not to mention that police don't care as long as you're not making problems.

I used to know a guy who was legally blind who would show up at the bar daily on his moped. He had peripheral vision only, so he could tell if he was on the road with his head straight and could see in front if his head was sideways.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was legal for blind people to drive but they have no way to drive cos they're blind. That seems like some backwards stuff america would do

there are blind and legally blind .... if the blind could drive with some aid I guess it makes sense, but if somebody is legally blind there's no way he can drive
