Not a dig at her but I'm kinda curious what shit went down for the entire rest of the squad to quit

I don't actually know why the title says that they backed out when the article itself says that they couldn't make it to the competition.

If I had to guess, that area just got hammered with weather so maybe she's the only one who could make it.

You think they'd just say that

Yea, I guess we’ll never know the reason for not being accurate in the headline so as to avoid emotional responses. It’s a mystery alright

But if they did there wouldn't have been this conversation, which may have resulted in a few people clicking on the article to see what actually happened that others would but have read the article. And this is happening in many places, not everyone looks at reddit's comments.

No, they knew it well in advance. That rules out weather and most illness.

Could be covid or some other illness easily enough

>"Katrina stood up for herself,"

Awful odd turn of phrase when the rest of the article says nothing about the WHY the other 4 didn't show.

UPDATE: I'll delete the line about Fox News being political. (They are, but can't even insinuate off of this!) I did some digging, and there's just "they quit for personal reasons" a week and a half before the competition. That means weather is not a factor. But that quote I quoted...

When there's a team of four, and three quit "for personal reasons" a week previous... I'm going to guess that it was more interpersonal reasons. Fifty-fifty whether the girl who performed solo is the heroine of this story.
