17 miles isn’t even hard- didn’t this guy also drink his own pee because he didn’t bring enough water? He wasn’t even out there a full day correct?

No he was out there for longer than a full day. He ended up having to sleep in a cabin on the trail. To be fair he did develop rhabdomyolysis which is extremely painful and makes walking almost impossible without searing pain. BUT he only developed this because he didn't bring nearly enough water and picked a trail he wasn't capable of doing
